Turin's own: the free afternoons and the city's crews

Combo's free daytime sets, community radio in the opera house, and the crews who run Turin's nights.

C2C gives Turin's own crews real slots: the Gang of Ducks collective, the Recall parties, SØVN Records and RBL, the city's community radio. Most of it is free. Every day from noon, the festival's HQ at Combo, next to the Porta Palazzo market, hosts free sets.

14:00

Corgiat, Anasbri & OAK9000

C2C HQ · Combo Torino · Porta Palazzo · Free entry

Listen

Thursday at Combo: Turin's open-call kids, from drone to jungle.

This showcase came from an open call for young artists. Corgiat, a Turin composer, opens with processed voices, slow drones and something like digital psychedelia. Anasbri moved from Lille to Turin and hosts a monthly show on RBL. Her dub-techno builds can break into jungle and reggaeton. Then OAK9000, a Milan selector, with breakbeats and ambient. Free, and the easiest way into the weekend.

Friday30 Oct

12:00

Regno Maggiore, Sunny Levi & Gigo & Pol100 & Xaxer

C2C HQ · Combo Torino · Porta Palazzo · Free entry

Listen

Regno Maggiore: an album made in a van.

Regno Maggiore's new record took shape on long drives through forests and back roads, with his van as the studio. He's part of Gang of Ducks. His music mixes synths, field recordings, toy instruments and folk voices into slow psychedelic drift. Free, at Combo. Then Sunny Levi & Gigo's hypnotic grooves with a dissonant edge, and Pol100 & Xaxer, a Ferrara producer and an Ecuadorian selector based in Turin, on broken beats and muddy dembow bass.

Listen

Community radio in the opera house.

Between the talks at Teatro Regio, RBL's DJs play the room. Lurido Timido opens at 13:00 with dark ambient and jazz. At 14:45, Stefania Vos and Skip go back to back: dub pressure and UK bass. Vos co-founded Imbarchino, one of Turin's riverside venues. Free with registration on DICE; there's a waiting list.

17:30

Guybrush (SØVN Records) & Andrea Bruera (SØVN Records)

C2C Festival Friday · Lingotto Fiere · Lingotto

Listen

SØVN Records: a Turin tape label opens Lingotto.

SØVN puts out cassettes with odd, handmade packaging. Twenty-seven copies of one tape each came set in foam. Guybrush used to design game audio; he cuts drones and train clatter into jump-cut collages. Andrea Bruera, who has a day job as a cognition researcher in Leipzig, follows with drone and corroded electronics. The sort of booking only C2C makes, and worth getting in early for.

12:00

Francesco Cavaliere: Compagnia dell'Orsa Minore (tape music), Sara Berts, Carmen San Pio & Lamusa II

C2C HQ · Combo Torino · Porta Palazzo · Free, register first

Listen

Saturday at Combo: Amazon field recordings, then trip-hop on vinyl, outdoors.

Outdoors this time, free with registration on DICE. Francesco Cavaliere's tape music starts at 12:00. Sara Berts spent three months recording in the Peruvian Amazon. She layers those sounds with a Buchla synth and processed voices: slow, alive with insect-like movement. Then Carmen San Pio, an RBL resident, plays trip-hop and dub from vinyl. Lamusa II closes with post-punk and crooked electronics.

Octavio Octavio, Palindrome & Umberto Milanesio (Recall)
17:30

Octavio Octavio, Palindrome & Umberto Milanesio (Recall)

C2C Festival Saturday · Lingotto Fiere · Lingotto

Listen

Recall: the crew that answered a cancelled party with lights.

Recall began in 2015 as a club night and became the crew behind Turin's art raves, mixing light, architecture and performance; when red tape cancelled one event in 2023, they lit up the Gran Madre church in silence instead. Palindrome bring piano loops and vocals; Octavio Octavio brings fast, Latin-tinged club rhythm. Three residents open Saturday's Dazed Stage.

Sunday1 Nov

13:00

Andrea Marini

C2C HQ · Combo Torino · Porta Palazzo · Free entry

Listen

Andrea Marini: a dub selector who once played to a dark room at dawn.

In 2016 Marini played from 07:00 to 08:30, in total darkness, to people lying on pillows. His DJ sets lean on heavy bass and old riddims. Free at Combo: a soft start to the last day.

Gang of Ducks x C2C Festival · Notorius Club · Borgo Vittoria · Free, register first

Listen

Gang of Ducks: ritual ambient and crooked grooves at Notorius.

Turin's Gang of Ducks bridges club culture, ritual and environmental thinking, and on Sunday it takes over Notorius. XIII co-founded it; he lives and works in an old bakery still scarred by a fire. His sets mix field recordings with slow, ceremonial rhythm. Caterina Gobbi brings environmental sound and stranger electronics. Tolouse Low Trax comes from Düsseldorf's Salon des Amateurs, the club that made slow, wonky dance music an art. Elena Colombi & Selezione Naturale complete the lineup. Free with registration on DICE.
