AMW 24/5 DJ Marathon 2026
Thu 22 · tba · Amsterdams Most Wanted Radio · Amsterdam
We are kicking off DAY TWO with an absolute underground heavyweight: a legendary, 8-hour-long takeover by the Detroit Techno Militia crew) From the very first second, you will be swept away by the raw, uncompromising sound of the Motor City. No breaks, no mercy—just pure vinyl energy, rolling basslines, and the unmistakable industrial vibes that Detroit is famous for. This isn't just a set; it’s an 8-hour endurance test for the true heads. Make sure your laces are tied tight, and your energy levels are maxed out. This is a marathon opening that will be talked about for years to come. More info about the marathon can be found down below. For the 11th year running, AMW returns to Amsterdam Dance Event with our legendary 24/5 DJ Marathon. We are welcoming you straight into our home base: “The Bunker” at NDSM, located inside a historic UNESCO heritage site. Hidden away in the industrial edges of the shipyard, these raw premises become a sanctuary for electronic music from Wednesday through Sunday. For 125 hours straight, the outside world fades away, driven by a sound system custom-tuned to deliver a deep, exceptionally warm sound that you can feel in your chest. Inside The Bunker, the soundscape constantly evolves. The music is carefully curated to match the exact energy of the hour, shifting seamlessly from deep daytime grooves into driving, peak-time energy as the sun goes down. It is a continuous, 5-day flow where established names and upcoming talents share the decks for one reason only: their absolute love for good music and the craft of a proper set. Follow the bass to the NDSM wharf. Our doors are open, transforming the space into a heavy, unfiltered sweat box where the music never stops. Come as you are, find your spot, and become part of the AMW legacy. We dance together. The World’s Longest Back-to-Back DJ Set hosted by Fosbury music studio
Thu 22 · tba · Fosbury & Sons · Amsterdam
Fosbury will transform its studio on Kerkstraat into a one-of-a-kind live broadcasting space, inspired by the openness and energy of New York’s The Lot Radio. Our ambition is simple: Create the longest continuous back-to-back DJ performance ever attempted. For more than 100 consecutive hours, all DJ’s in town will take over the booth. But there is one rule: Nobody ever plays alone. Every DJ joins the artist already playing, performs a two-hour back-to-back, and then hands over to the next DJ. Every hour, one artist leaves and another joins, creating an endless chain of collaborations, unexpected combinations, and once-in-a-lifetime musical moments. The entire event will be professionally livestreamed and recorded. With large windows facing Kerkstraat, the studio becomes part of the city during ADE. People walking by can watch the DJs perform from outside, while thousands more tune in from around the world. ∞ B2B isn’t just about breaking records. The entire event raises money for charity. Fans around the world can access the livestream by making a donation, turning every hour of music into real-world impact. Access is only available through charitable donations, making every ticket another contribution to the cause. A Guinness World Records attempt We’re aiming to make ∞ B2B an official Guinness World Records attempt for the longest continuous back-to-back DJ performance ever staged. If successful, ADE won’t just witness an unforgettable livestream. ADE brings together the world’s greatest electronic artists every year. ∞ B2B creates collaborations that would never normally happen. • Unexpected B2B combinations. • More than 100 hours of continuous music. • A global livestream. • Incredible content for years to come. • Money raised for charity. • An official world record attempt. One booth. 100 hours. No solo sets. One endless back-to-back. Where one DJ never stops, because another is always joining.
RESONANCE: Listening to the Future
Thu 22 · 09:45 · The Stargate · Amsterdam
Venue information: This event was originally scheduled to take place at the Embassy of the Free Mind, but has been relocated to The Stargate. The Sanctuary Earth Foundation presents: Resonance - Listening to the Future. One conversation, five perspectives. The future we are trying to protect. The ritual of gathering around sound is as old as the species. It has survived war, plague, empire and prohibition. It has never survived being turned into a product. Are we the last stewards of what makes it work? Can the cities, technologies and spaces we build next protect it rather than consume it? 09:45 - 10:45 | Arriving Through Breath: 108 AUM, €15 A gentle guided meditation set to a specially curated Sonic Spheres composition. Before the first beat, we begin with the breath. Bianka Duka opens the day with breathwork and meditation, inviting visitors to leave the noise behind and arrive fully in their bodies, the space, and the moment. 12:30 - 13:30 & 13:30 - 14:30 | The Sanctuary Sessions: Empowerment, €15 Monica van der Meulen and Lasse Mosegard lead visitors through the Sonic Spheres, an immersive sound experience exploring whether sound can help us slow down, recalibrate, and reconnect. Each session begins with a short introduction, followed by the session using spatial audio and curated frequencies designed to support nervous system regulation and a sense of calm. Visitors experiencing sound as something felt throughout the body, not only heard. 14:30 - 15:30 | Resonance: Listening to the Future (indepth session), €35 Five distinctive voices from different disciplines share their knowledge, practice and vision, followed by an open conversation with the audience. How does sound shape consciousness, and how might emerging technologies extend the ways we listen, feel and experience the world? This session explores sound as a medium for investigating perception, memory and altered states. What is the therapeutic potential of psychoacoustics and archaeoacoustics? Connecting artistic practice with critical enquiry, the session asks whether sound can support enduring changes in attention, perception and behaviour: a movement from altered states towards altered traits. Speakers: Carl Hayden Smith (Museum of Consciousness), Natasha Stark, DJ Isis (Isis van der Wel), Pieter Smits van Waesberghe (Dragonfly Water Solutions), Carina Kornfeind. SUSPENDED - Music Hammocks
Thu 22 · 11:00 · The Stargate · Amsterdam
What if you could listen with your whole body? During ADE, The Stargate invites you into SUSPENDED : an immersive sound experience centred around Parker Hertzberger 's vibrating Music Hammocks , where sound becomes physical and the body becomes part of the listening experience. Parker Hertzberger's work explores the physical and spatial dimensions of sound. His vibrating hammocks translate music into tactile vibration, allowing you to experience frequencies through your entire body rather than through the ears alone. Alongside standalone sessions where you can drop in, lie back and experience the hammocks, SUSPENDED will feature a series of live performances by artists working directly with the technology; creating music that can be heard, felt and experienced physically in real time. A different kind of listening experience for ADE: less about standing in front of the sound, and more about being inside it. Drop-in experiences + immersive live performances Full programme to be announced Explore more ADE Arts & Culture events at The Stargate here .
