ADE picks
Charged by Jaco Schilp
Charged by Jaco Schilp is a sensor-driven light environment where your body sets the pace: clouds of light gather, repel and fold together as people move through the space. TouchDesigner and YOLO shape the reactive glow around presence and collision.
Clubcult - Video Installation
Clubcult is JOHNNY BLOOD’s video installation and fashion project built from the visual memory of De School’s closing, with clubwear, bodywear, vintage redesign and in-house embroidery. It sits in Amsterdam club culture through film, identity and the afterimage of the venue.
Dreaming Babies: illi by Yoon Chung Han
Dreaming Babies: illi by Yoon Chung Han centers 23 hybrid human babies in virtual incubators, with audience mic input and a ChatGPT layer feeding the audiovisual piece. It links AI, genetics and speculative birth into a realtime installation about perfecting bodies.
Heliotrope by Heleen Blanken & Daniel de Bruin
Heliotrope by Heleen Blanken & Daniel de Bruin is a mirrored kinetic setup where blades move, beams split and reflections turn the room into a shifting mechanical landscape. The piece works with sun-tracking, tropism and light-motor choreography.
The Egg by Touki Delphine
The Egg by Touki Delphine builds live music systems from salvaged objects, motors, relays, drums and lights, with FIREBIRD and SUPERDRUM in the collective’s recycled-material lineage. Expect a percussion-and-light machine where object noise, wiring and motion drive the room.
The Art of Noise – Part One
At SPRMRKT’s 400 m² concept store turned talk space, Dave Clarke, An Vandevorst and Isaac Sellam dig into fashion, photography and music with Jonas Zitter moderating. Expect club history, design process and crossovers, with Clarke’s stripped techno and electro lineage in the mix.
Performance: Eloy Cruz del Prado - Working (Título)
Eloy Cruz del Prado’s Working (Título) folds a waltz, a hammer and excerpts from James Baldwin’s Giovanni’s Room into a piece about intimacy, care and labor. It plays with coupling, desire and precarious living, using spoken and rhythmic movement rather than club flow.
Dome Concerts presents: CATCHING FLIES - visuals Julius Horsthuis
Catching Flies and Julius Horsthuis bring soulful melodies, deep basslines and fractal dome visuals together in ARTIS Planetarium. Expect live-instrument feel, detailed rhythms and immersive animation that syncs electronic music with a planetarium setting.
