ADE picks
The Art of Noise – Part One
At SPRMRKT’s 400 m² concept store turned talk space, Dave Clarke, An Vandevorst and Isaac Sellam dig into fashion, photography and music with Jonas Zitter moderating. Expect club history, design process and crossovers, with Clarke’s stripped techno and electro lineage in the mix.
Motie - Thursday (Opening Night)
Motie turns the Stopera, city hall and opera house on the Amstel, into a home for the city's night culture for three days. The opening has Young Marco's psychedelic, left-turn sets, Jonny Nash's slow-blooming guitar ambient and Oceanic's live minimal techno.
THE FUTURE IS SOUND at ADE
Ruthlss and Portrait XO move between piano-led electronic writing, processed voice, data sonification and audiovisual performance at The Stargate. The night sits between composed passages, club percussion and synthetic textures, with sound and image both doing the work.
Djrum (live) x EINDER by Boris Acket
Djrum's live set on self-built acoustic-electronic instruments, under Boris Acket's EINDER installation in the Centrale Markthal. Broken rhythms, raw materials, one monumental room.
Dome Concerts presents: COLIN BENDERS + OTHERNODE
COLIN BENDERS and OTHERNODE share a live modular and audiovisual framework: pulsing sequences, motorik drift, dubby atmosphere, noise and real-time image and projection work built to be redirected in the room.
DANCÆ by Chlär
DANCÆ by Chlär is a contemporary ballet with six dancers moving through sound, light, and spatial design to a live set by Chlär inside Amsterdam’s former prison. The club side comes through in hardgroove techno, dense drums, and a hard techno/minimal frame.
Motie - Friday
Jonny Nash's soft guitar phrases and slow harmonies, Young Marco's elastic, trancey house and Oceanic's mechanical, restrained live techno, inside the Stopera. Calm, local and a bit unusual.
Dome Concerts presents: PHILIP GLASS by LAVINIA MEIJER & REYER ZWART
Philip Glass in the planetarium: Lavinia Meijer on harp with Reyer Zwart on bass and guitar, shaping minimal repetition into long arcs and clean arpeggios. Julius Horsthuis adds fractal visuals, so it’s a dome-spanning sound-and-image piece.
