Percussion-heavy club music with deep bass, broken rhythmic grids and a lot of pressure around the kick. The Houndstooth cut with Amazondotcom describes his lane well: decomposed dubstep energy folded into experimental dance form.

More about Siete Catorce

Marco Polo Gutierrez, as Siete Catorce, moved between Mexico and the Bay Area before settling in Los Angeles. He’s released on N.A.A.F.I., Houndstooth and his own SUBREAL imprint, which places him in the Mexico City/L.A. strain of borderless bass experimentation rather than a single local scene.
