Noise-rock quartet with trap, dance, and hyperpop fractures
Based in Manchester, United Kingdom
Valentine Caulfield’s voice sits over jagged guitars, synths, and hard-edged drums that lurch between punk impact and club pressure. On URGH, the band folds in more brass, brighter synth color, and a cleaner, nastier stomp; live, it should hit like a tight, high-volume set rather than a loose noise session.
Manchester quartet on Sacred Bones, with URGH out in February 2026 after i've seen a way in 2023. The band are singer Valentine Caulfield, guitarist/producer Scott Fair, synth player Simon Catling, and drummer Alex Macdougall; their pull in this scene is the way they make rock and dance music collide without smoothing either side out.
