Liars present Drum's Not Dead 20th anniversary show feat. Macio Moretti and Jacek Próściński
Liars’ Drum’s Not Dead with Polish drummers Macio Moretti and Jacek Próściński
Based in New York City, United States
Expect the Drum’s Not Dead material rebuilt around percussion, repetition and tension rather than retro-rock nostalgia. Angus Andrew’s voice and the band’s wiry guitars and electronics will likely sit inside a denser drum framework, with Moretti and Próściński pushing the physical end of the record’s pulse.
More about Liars present Drum's Not Dead 20th anniversary show feat. Macio Moretti and Jacek Próściński
Liars began in Sydney, moved through New York’s art-rock circuit, and made Drum’s Not Dead into one of the 2000s’ key percussion records. Moretti is known from Starzy Singers and Antigama, which tells you he can cover both garage looseness and grindcore pressure; Próściński brings the second-drummer angle that fits this anniversary rerendering.
