Kuba Suchar
Polish improviser, drummer and instrument builder
Based in Poland
Suchar is a drummer first, but the programme text and bio point to a wider practice: improvised interplay, composition for film and theatre, and self-built instruments. Expect live acoustic detail, shifting dynamics and the feel of someone who listens as much as he drives the set.
More about Kuba Suchar
He is one of Poland’s most active improvisers and has worked in Mikrokolektyw with Artur Majewski, in Robotobibok, and in Wschód with Rodrigo Pinheiro and Zbigniew Kozera. That places him in the Polish jazz/improv network where composition, ensemble work and custom instrument design all cross over.
