Researcher mapping Russia’s filtration system
A performative lecture built from writing, animation, and zine-making rather than music. The content moves between a single airport’s interrogation rooms and the wider machinery of surveillance, border control, deportation, and occupation.
Daria Hetmanova works at the intersection of science and technology studies and critical border studies. Their current project examines the Russian-established filtration system for Ukrainian civilians, and the festival text places that work in dialogue with wartime surveillance and digital extraction.
