Arca b2b Bobby Beethoven
Arca and Bobby Beethoven back-to-back DJ/live set
Based in Barcelona, Spain / Miami, United States
Arca’s side leans on knotty rhythm changes, blown-out bass, and abrupt switches between melody and abrasion. Bobby Beethoven tends to cut pop, R&B, techno, jungle, bounce and edits into a single set, so this pairing should move fast between hard-clipped club pressure and singalong detours.
More about Arca b2b Bobby Beethoven
Arca is Alejandra Ghersi Rodríguez, the Venezuelan producer now based in Barcelona; Bobby Beethoven is Ashland Mines, the Los Angeles/Miami DJ formerly known as Total Freedom. Both came up around GHE20G0TH1K, and Mines also helped shape Wildness and Mustache Mondays in Los Angeles, which put them at the center of the early deconstructed-club route out of queer party culture.
