London laptop-twee duo splicing 8-bit clutter into psychedelic pop
Based in London, United Kingdom · From United Kingdom
Leo Fincham and Rowan Please build short, hyperactive pop songs from acoustic and electric guitars, MIDI strings, childlike keyboards, glockenspiel, harmonica, feedback and 8-bit bleeps. The live set should move rapidly between chantable twee-pop, full-throttle emo bursts and deliberately wonky brass-band interludes.
Worldpeace DMT began as Fincham’s London solo project before his collaboration with The Femcels’ Rowan Please developed into a duo. Their collage-heavy 2025 debut The Velvet Underground & Rowan became a reference point for the emerging “laptop twee” tag; the 2026 releases Flowers Powers and Stick Around For Tea pushed the project toward a fuller band sound.
