Baroque-tinted electronic pop with pitched drums and close-miked vocals
Based in Gothenburg, Sweden
Toxe's recent music is sparse, dreamlike electronic pop: exposed vocals, bent synthetic tones and compact rhythms threaded with harpsichord, piano and plucked-guitar colors. This live set is likely to foreground 2026's Bubble Treasure, whose English-language songs grew directly from her stage arrangements.
Tove Agélii emerged from Gothenburg's STAYCORE orbit with Muscle Memory before releasing the sharper Blinks through PAN. After the Swedish-language Toxe2 for YEAR0001, she recorded the self-released Bubble Treasure between Paris and New York, turning baroque textures and a decade of club experimentation into concise vocal songs.
Bubble Treasure drew references from Ween and Aubrey Plaza's zombie in Life After Beth.
