Paulie Swan

Edinburgh chamber-folk carried by piano, guitar and a deep baritone

Based in Edinburgh, United Kingdom

FolkArt popRock

Listen on Bandcamp

Jangling guitar, classic-pop piano and restrained synths frame Swan’s deep, weathered baritone, which can shift from intimate crooning to theatrical half-speech. Expect slow-burning arrangements with jazz touches, vocal doubling and occasional full-band swells rather than straightforward indie-rock payoffs.

More about Paulie Swan

Swan is a self-producing Edinburgh songwriter whose first EP, Swans Today, arrived through AWAL in June 2026. His reference points stretch from Nick Drake and Tom Waits to Nujabes, game soundtracks and vocal jazz, giving the songs an unusually broad harmonic vocabulary.

A story

Growing up, he spent hours on computers loaded with cracked software and Trojan viruses, learning music through games and YouTube.
