Born and raised in Knoxville, Nair cut his teeth co-throwing local DIY parties before moving through Atlanta and on to Los Angeles. Releases for Scuffed, Dirtybird, Future Classic, dh2 and Hyperdub connect Southern US party culture with UK breakbeat networks and a deliberately “broken” approach to club production.

At about nine, Nair wrote a school project declaring that his future plan was to become a rock star.
