London alt-country with sibling harmonies, trumpet and volatile dynamics
Based in London, United Kingdom
Warm acoustic and electric guitars support Jack and Harry Lower’s tightly matched four-part harmonies, with Ned Ashcroft’s trumpet adding sudden brass colour. Songs such as “Tiny Feet” begin gently before turning rougher and louder; live, the quartet also snaps between half-time sway and double-time release.
Little Grandad came together around the Lower brothers, guitarist and trumpeter Ned Ashcroft, and drummer James Brennan, then developed through relentless shows around London’s Windmill circuit. Their first recordings arrived through Communion in May 2026, with debut album Speak Softly, Son scheduled for January 22, 2027.
Harry Lower finished a business degree but left the final certificate unopened in his bedroom once he committed to music.
