Jackson Fourgeaud returns under a new live electronic project
From France
Fourgeaud's established vocabulary splices acid-house propulsion, granular edits, distorted synth-pop hooks, robotic voices and abrupt rock or hip-hop detours. Jackson Institute is a new project, but the live billing points toward a physical rebuild of that dense cut-and-paste language rather than a conventional DJ set.
Jackson Fourgeaud came through Paris during the French Touch era but landed on Warp rather than staying inside filter-disco orthodoxy. As Jackson and His Computer Band, Smash and Glow connected French club engineering with Warp's IDM lineage; Jackson Institute marks his return under a new name.
