Hardware dance duo wiring glitch-pop hooks into live analog motion
Based in New York City, United States
Spring-loaded beats, bright synth arpeggios, clipped vocal fragments and abrupt glitch edits give their tracks a handmade, slightly emo pull. Mollie Gilbertson and Emerson Fossett perform through hardware including an OP-Z, synthesizers, sequencers and an SP-404, so expect a compact live set rather than two laptops running stems.
The duo emerged from New York's overlap of DIY electronic shows, indie-pop and emo bills. Their 2026 debut EP No Bad Words appeared physically through Crane Operator, Orange Label Records' experimental-electronic imprint, framing them as a live-wired alternative to software-polished club pop.
They met while making sandwiches at an expensive grocery-deli; the art-installation set that started their rehearsals was cancelled, but another show arrived one week later.
