Melbourne future-emo pop with trap drums and hardcore scar tissue.
Based in Melbourne, Australia
daine sings sweet, close-miked hooks over blown-out bass, clipped trap percussion, glitch edits and guitars carrying the ache of Midwest emo. The live set should pivot between diaristic slow-burners and volatile pop songs from the debut album released on the day of this Paris performance.
They emerged from Melbourne’s all-ages hardcore community before bedroom recordings placed them alongside the early-2020s hyperpop and emo-rap crossover. After releases through Warner Music Australia and a difficult major-label split, daine rebuilt around Pack Records for the self-directed debut album In Endless Awe & Agony.
At 13, they attended Melbourne’s all-ages Invasion Fest and came away hooked on hardcore.
