Mall-bright electronic pop spiked with dubstep, guitars and glitches
Based in New York City, United States · From San Francisco, United States
April Harper Grey builds sharply compressed pop from huge bass drops, bright synthetic hooks, jazz-coloured chords, distorted guitars and sudden structural cuts. The live show should centre 2026's U: cleaner and more dance-pop-facing than Wallsocket, but still prone to abrasive edits, dramatic vocal shifts and dubstep-scale impact.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Grey started uploading dubstep to SoundCloud as a teenager before becoming part of the internet-native pop network around six impala and deadAir. Fishmonger fused digital maximalism with pop-punk and indie rock; Wallsocket expanded that language into a fictional Midwestern town and character-driven album. U moves to Mom + Pop and reframes airports, hotels and shopping centres as settings for polished, transient pop.
