Dub-techno electronics staged as speculative architecture
R-010’s live electronics favour weighty low end, hybrid percussion, diffused voices and dubwise space; Matteo Caro brings guitar, percussion and a slower continuum of ambient, classical and mechanical textures. PROXIMA’s scenography treats those pulses and decays architecturally, making Makrophonie a spatial live work rather than a conventional screen-backed set.
R-010 is Madrid-born producer Lucas Rojo, now based in Barcelona and committed to live performance across techno, dub and drum & bass. Matteo Caro studies experimental and speculative architecture in Madrid and has contributed guitar and percussion to R-010’s recent work, while Barcelona studio PROXIMA handles creative direction, production, lighting and scenography for live music.
