A living garden played through touch, vibration and reactive synthesis
Based in Barcelona, Spain
Contact microphones pick up footsteps, touch and vibrations passing through a temporary indoor garden. Reactive synthesizers distribute the resulting soundscapes around the space while sensors translate visitors' presence into changing light.

Nodèn was created at Barcelona's EINA University Centre by Alba Bernal, Wal Antonio Couyi, Lola Elbert, Simón Fernández, Mario Luna, Andrea Maymó, Noubi Oliete, Aleix Peguera and Samuel Ben Ramis. Developed in Adrià Julià's Projects 6: Visual Creation course, it comes from EINA's design culture of environmental awareness, experimentation and participatory installation.
A story
Nine design students built Nodèn inside a Visual Creation course, with Adrià Julià tutoring the collective process.
