Max Cooper

Spatial melodic electronics mapped onto architecture, biology and generative visuals

Based in London, United Kingdom · From United Kingdom

ElectronicaTechnoAmbientA/V

Listen on Bandcamp

Cooper builds from finely sequenced clicks, granular detail and slowly unfolding harmony into wide, driving techno and break-led peaks. The live audiovisual show synchronises those structures with large-scale simulations, architectural forms and organic patterns rather than treating the screen as decoration.

More about Max Cooper

The Belfast-raised, London-based producer holds a PhD in computational biology and carries systems thinking into records, films and installations. He founded Mesh as a home for projects connecting electronic composition with mathematicians, architects, coders and visual artists; Feeling Is Structure grew from a Royal Albert Hall commission.

A story

While preparing Feeling Is Structure, Cooper researched the Royal Albert Hall’s earliest electronic concert and found Leon Theremin played there in 1927.
