Fennesz reframes Endless Summer while Lillevan improvises the moving image
Fennesz feeds electric-guitar chords and fragments through laptop processing until melody blurs into granular crackle, distortion and radiant drone. Lillevan manipulates layered film, animation and found imagery in real time, making this a fluid album-length A/V performance rather than a faithful playback.
Endless Summer emerged from Vienna's Mego orbit in 2001, placing unabashed melody inside the abstract language of laptop electronics. Lillevan came through post-Wall Berlin club culture and co-founded Rechenzentrum, treating moving image as an improvising instrument rather than musical decoration.
