Family drone trio built around voice, synths, and road recordings
Based in Seoul, South Korea
Long-form pieces with sustained synth wash, harmonium-like drone, breathy vocal lines, and small rhythmic pulses. For this set, expect SKY material: a continuous, inward piece that folds in field recordings from travel, with less drama than propulsion and more attention to atmosphere and tone.
TENGGER are the South Korean/Japanese family at the core of the project, based in Seoul. They sit in the lane where drone, krautrock, and new age meet, with releases on their own Bandcamp and recent work through Guruguru Brain; the family format and road-based recording practice are central to how they work.
Their 2020 album Nomad was described as a record made while living in thrall to the road, with yearly pilgrimages to distant places.
