Star David Connection (Nyabinghi)
Nyahbinghi reggae band led by Star David
Based in Rotterdam, Netherlands · From Paramaribo, Suriname
Rooted in Nyahbinghi drumming and reggae groove, with the set likely leaning into steady bass, hand drums, and communal chant. The festival framing points to a live roots session rather than a DJ-style dub set.
More about Star David Connection (Nyabinghi)
Star David came up in Rotterdam after moving from Paramaribo to Europe in 1971, and he was part of The Communications, described by the festival as the first reggae band in the Netherlands.
