Lithuanian composer weaving folk, drones, and samples
Based in Copenhagen, Denmark · From Lithuania
Fragile acoustic figures, soft drones, vocal fragments, and sample-based collage sit close together. The album pieces move between intimate songwriting and concrète-like processing, with strings, brass, accordion, and guitar used as color as much as accompaniment.
Preisaitė is Lithuanian and a graduate of Copenhagen’s Rhythmic Music Conservatory. Her first solo release under her own name folds in composing-for-ensemble experience, improvisation, and a looped, handmade approach that places her near the Danish experimental/compositional underground as much as alt-folk.
She studied at Copenhagen’s Rhythmic Music Conservatory before releasing her first solo album.
