Brigadera are Beatrice Sberna and gabi, working in Amsterdam but drawing on Italian cantautori, Brazilian folk traditions, clowning, avant-garde jazz and pop. Their self-definition as impro-songwriting fits the Dutch/Italian DIY and creative-music overlap, where composition and improvisation stay close together.
