Large-format portrait booth, developed by hand
This is a hands-on photography action, not a listening set. A portrait is made directly on photographic paper inside a large-format camera, then developed in the darkroom so the image appears in front of you.
Het Kleinste Kamertje is presenting analogue photography as an interactive process, with the mechanics of light, chemistry, and hand development at the centre. It sits alongside the festival’s daytime participatory programming rather than the live music bill.
The portrait is exposed on photographic paper first, then developed by hand in the darkroom so you can watch it appear.
