Seven-piece anniversary formation built for repetition, distortion and brute force
Based in Salford, United Kingdom
Four guitars and two drummers turn simple riffs into long, punishing cycles, with shredded vocals, feedback and sudden free-form ruptures. This expanded anniversary set should favour physical repetition and room-filling volume over the quieter drift heard on 2024's Spot Land.
Gnod formed around Salford's Islington Mill, with Paddy Shine and Chris Haslam anchoring a rotating collective and the Tesla Tapes imprint. Rocket Recordings has documented their shifts from communal drone and free jazz to industrial noise-rock and politically charged riff music.
They entered Hellfire Studios for six days hoping to make one album; the session produced a trilogy.
