Anelena Toku and Carla Boregas formed Fronte Violeta in São Paulo in 2015, developing performances and installations that connect sound with scent, moving image and the natural world. Toku is now based in London and Boregas in Berlin; their self-titled 2025 album brought a decade of joint work to Nicolas Jaar's Other People label.
