Hyperdub founder meets Chicago footwork pioneer
From United States
This pairing should move between Kode9’s clipped UK club pressure and RP Boo’s skittering footwork patterns. Expect jagged drums, sudden empty space, and bass that lands like a splice rather than a swell.
Steve Goodman built Hyperdub out of London’s dubstep after-hours and later widened into AI, sound studies, and club theory. Kavain Space is one of the first footwork producers, rooted in Chicago’s dance battle circuit, so this set sits right on the bridge between UK bass abstraction and Chicago’s chopped-up rhythm language.
Hyperdub’s first release was Kode9 & The Spaceape’s 'Sine of the Dub'.
