Peruvian performance artist working with blood, shrouds, and HIV politics
Based in Berlin, Germany · From Peru
Sidario is a performance, not a club set: blood and a white shroud are the central materials, with the piece built around ritual action and bodily symbolism. The programme frames it through drag and club-kid aesthetics plus Andean resonances, so expect a staged, image-led work rather than music-forward composition.
Mynerva comes out of Lima’s contemporary art scene and now lives between Berlin and Barcelona. Their practice sits with trans and queer communities, and the work is tied to race, gender, sexuality, and the politics of the body; the ADE programme explicitly links Sidario to Pedro Lemebel’s Loco afán and to HIV as a social and political issue.
Sidario uses “buh,” the term for HIV in some trans communities in Peru. In their own words
