Wietze Young
Hardcore-to-techno DJ and Sputnik Techno party host
Based in North Holland, Netherlands · From Netherlands
Driving, rolling techno with a sturdy low-end and a straight-to-the-floor mix style. The festival bio points to deep underground techno rather than peak-time fireworks, with the old hardcore edge still in the picture.
More about Wietze Young
He comes out of the North of Holland and has been DJing since 1994, first on hardcore and then on techno after hearing Richie Hawtin’s 'Decks, EFX and 909'. He also runs SPUTNIK TECHNO parties around Leeuwarden, with regular nights at Neushoorn.
A story
He says Richie Hawtin’s 'Decks, EFX and 909' was the set that sold him on techno. In their own words
