Drone trio with guitar, sampler, laptop and drums
Long-form pieces built from guitar wash, sampled electronics and brushed, cymbal-led drums. The set should sit in a fog of sustained tones and patient build, with live percussion keeping it from drifting into pure ambience.
This is the trio Tristan da Cunha, not the island: Francesco Vara on guitar, sampler and laptop, Luca Scotti on drums, cymbals and ocean drum. They sit in the overlap between drone, post-classical and noisy improvisation, with releases on their own Bandcamp and labels like Dissipatio and Boring Machines.
