Todd Terry
Brooklyn house pioneer in an AI talk
Based in Brooklyn, New York, United States
No DJ set here: this is Todd Terry in conversation about AI and the future of music. His background is the hard-jacking Brooklyn side of house, built from disco samples, Chicago house pressure and hip-hop swing.
More about Todd Terry
Todd Terry came up in Brooklyn and helped define New York house in the late 1980s and early 1990s under aliases like Todd Terry Project, House of Gypsies and Royal House. He is still the reference point for a whole strain of sample-heavy house, and his own site still frames him as a Brooklyn house artist.
