Timo Maas
German DJ-producer behind Lifer and Rockets & Ponies
Timo Maas moves between sturdy house, tougher techno and the slightly dirty, late-night end of tech house. His recent mixes still lean long-form and underground, with roomy drums, dry low-end and the kind of patient pressure that works in a club booth, not a promo clip.
More about Timo Maas
He came up in Germany’s underground rave scene in the early ’90s, later becoming a label boss through Rockets & Ponies. Discogs credits his early residencies at The Tunnel in Hamburg and Twilo in New York, and his own site and Bandcamp position him as a 30-plus-year DJ/producer still actively releasing and mixing.
