The Martinez Brothers
New York house duo with raw, cut-up club records
Based in New York City, United States · From United States
Their records tend to run on chunky drums, clipped vocals and a dark, rubbery groove, with enough swing to keep the room moving. On the decks, they lean into house with a hip-hop sense of phrasing and a bit of psychedelic splice-work.
More about The Martinez Brothers
The brothers came up through Objektivity with Dennis Ferrer and have since run Cuttin’ Headz, one of the clearer New York house labels of the last decade. Their work sits in the crossfade between Bronx-style attitude, Ibiza utility and modern warehouse house.
