The Love Team
Chicago house husband-and-wife DJ duo
Based in Chicago, United States
House built for singalong hooks, swinging drums and familiar Chicago warmth rather than heavy pressure. The duo format suggests a back-to-back flow with big-room vocal records, gospel touches and older-school vocal house.
More about The Love Team
The Love Team is First Lady and Hugo H., both long-running Chicago figures who paired up as a husband-and-wife DJ duo. The festival copy and their own pages place them in the Chicago house lineage, with radio work and club dates built around keeping that sound in circulation.
A story
First Lady says she was one of Chicago’s first female house radio DJs in the mid-1980s. In their own words
