Thaniel Owusu Agyemang
Archivist, filmmaker and cultural producer from Amsterdam
Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands
This is a talk, not a set: the programme positions him as a visual storyteller, cultural producer and DJ, but the ADE event here is conversation-based. Expect him to speak from archival practice, community programming and film rather than from a club-culture performance.
More about Thaniel Owusu Agyemang
He founded Sankofa Archives in November 2022, a cultural space and archive named after the Akan idea of going back to fetch what you need to move forward. He has worked with Vandalized, where he moved from stage management and photography into co-programming, and since 2023 he has been Creative and Cultural Programmer at Stichting Kazerne Reigersbos. His work sits in Amsterdam Zuidoost’s neighborhood- and memory-building scene, with the Ghanaian reference points and local public-space politics made explicit in his projects.
