Songpot · Amsterdam Dance Event 2026

Julien's records on Apron sit between house, left-field club music, and darker sample-based material, with loose drums and a lot of swing. As a DJ he usually threads those records with older funk, jazz, and hip-hop pressure, so expect a set with grit rather than polish. ([apronrecords.com](https://apronrecords.com/))

More about Steven Julien

London's Steven Julien is better known to crate diggers as FunkinEven, the figure behind Apron Records, a label launched in 2014 as a community outlet that now covers jazz, electronic, hip-hop, house, and fusion. His 2024 DJ-Kicks on !K7 and the 2025 Time / Wraap't release show he still moves between DJ tools and full tracks. ([apronrecords.com](https://apronrecords.com/pages/about-us))
