This is a speaker session, not a live set. The programme frames her around Kikuyu-language vocals, global house crossover, and the chart life of ‘Mwaki’ with Zerb, so the focus is on voice, identity, and how a club hook travels.

More about Sofiya Nzau

Nzau comes out of Kenyan singing and moved into global electronic music through a very specific lane: singing in Kikuyu and placing that language at the center of a worldwide dance hit. The ADE session is tied to her rise through Afro house and to the wider shift where African languages and local stories have become central to global club-pop.
