SIS
Berlin house DJ with Turkish rhythmic roots
Based in Berlin, Germany · From Michelstadt, Germany · Plays most in Berlin, Ibiza, Barcelona
Expect propulsive house with percussive drive, clipped percussion and a bassline-forward floor focus. The festival bio ties him to drums, DJing and production, and the record trail points to tracks built for late-night club use rather than heady home listening.
More about SIS
Burak Sar, aka Sis, was born in Michelstadt in 1980 and is now based in Berlin; RA and Discogs both place him in the German house circuit. His early releases on Amused and Cecille, plus the 2008 'Trompeta / Clarinete' 12-inch, are the kind of records that made his name in European house rooms.
A story
He started out on drums in a rock band before buying Technics 1210s after hearing DJ Karotte at Frankfurt's U60 Club. In their own words
