Songpot · Amsterdam Dance Event 2026

Deep, church-trained baritone over classic Chicago house and garage-leaning grooves. Expect a vocalist-DJ set with swung drums, warm pads, and songs that sit between gospel lift and warehouse grit.

More about Robert Owens

Chicago house runs through his work: he sang with Fingers Inc with Larry Heard and Ron Wilson, and his name is attached to early house standards on DJ International. He’s one of the voices that defined the label’s vocal side, and the ADE showcase is built around that first-wave Chicago lineage.

A story

Before singing-house fame, he was DJing block parties and smaller Chicago clubs while Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles were shaping the scene. In their own words
