Frankfurt techno producer with house and jazz leanings
Based in Germany
Tough, rolling techno with clipped percussion, fat low end, and lots of pressure. He folds in house, world-music detail, and jazz phrasing, so the tracks move with more swing than a straight Frankfurt bludgeon.
Frank Heinrich grew up in Frankfurt and came up around Sven Väth’s Omen, then became part of the city’s post-Omen techno axis with names like Chris Tietjen, Marc Scholl, and Markus Fix. His catalog runs through Connaisseur, Supplement Facts, Moon Harbour, Cadenza, Renaissance, and Cecille, which puts him squarely in the European minimal/tech-house network.
