Pedro da Mata
Amsterdam-based DJ threading baile funk through house and bass
Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands · From Minas Gerais, Brazil · Plays most in Amsterdam
Heavy low-end, percussive patterns, and a lot of swing. He moves between house and bass pressure with baile funk in the foreground, so expect tight drums, rolling grooves, and sudden rhythmic turns rather than a straight four-on-the-floor set.
More about Pedro da Mata
He is the founder and resident DJ of Onda Collective, an Amsterdam crew rooted in Brazilian and Afro-Latin sounds. RA and the ADE programme both place him in that overlap between the city’s underground and Brazilian club culture, with sets built around house, baile funk, and related rhythm-led forms.
