Under his own name, Milyakov leans away from straight club tools into slow-moving electronic pieces, drone pressure, and electroacoustic detail. Expect organ, saxophone, fielded space and damaged synth texture, with the church setting likely pulling the set toward the long-form and resonant rather than the peak-time.

More about Pavel Milyakov

He came up in Moscow’s underground and co-founded Johns’ Kingdom, a label that pushed an anonymity-first, anti-ego approach to Russian dance music. His solo work runs through Berceuse Heroique, The Trilogy Tapes, Muscut and PSY X, and his collaborations with Yana Pavlova, Alex Zhang Hungtai and Bendik Giske place him in the international leftfield ambient/experimental circuit.

A story
