Songpot · Amsterdam Dance Event 2026

This is not a performance set. It is a conference appearance about sampling ethics, likely drawing on Hartnoll’s Orbital history, late-rave production culture, and the practical realities of borrowing, clearance, and collaboration.

More about Paul Hartnoll

Paul Hartnoll is one half of Orbital, the duo from Kent whose early single 'Chime' and self-titled Brown Album are core UK rave references. Orbital’s official site also shows his later projects, including Hartnoll & Young with Murray Lachlan Young, which puts him at the intersection of electronic music and spoken-word collaboration.

A story

Orbital say they recorded debut single 'Chime' in a cupboard at their parents’ house for less than £5. In their own words
