Merel Helderman
Young Amsterdam house DJ with jazz-trained timing
Plays most in Amsterdam, All, Utrecht
Her festival bio points to up-tempo 90s house and techno, and the label clips back that up with chunky, serious house jams. The jazz-piano background suggests a player who phrases cleanly and likes a harmonic hook as much as a driving groove.
More about Merel Helderman
Merel is very new to the booth, but she already has releases on BELTERS 4U and a booking footprint around Amsterdam. The interesting bit is the crossover: jazz training feeding straight into club-house writing rather than polished crossover keys.
