Slovenian selector crossing house, techno and leftfield grooves
Based in Slovenia
Mayell’s sets sit in the house-to-techno corridor, with the groove and detail that come through on his releases and mix appearances. Expect warm, rolling drums, clean transitions and a more musical pull than blunt club pressure.
Resident Advisor calls him one of the pillars of Slovenia’s underground scene, and his biography traces releases on Jesus Loved You, Pager Records, Traffic Records and LuckIsOn. He is also tied to Purple Noise Studio with his partner Sibil, which puts him in the Ljubljana ecosystem that has been exporting selectors and records for years.
