Songpot · Amsterdam Dance Event 2026

Expect rolling, DJ-friendly trance with big melodic lift, plus harder techno pressure from his later material. The festival slot is built for long, driving phrases and hands-up releases rather than peak-hour roughness.

More about Mauro Picotto

He came up in Italy’s club circuit, broke through on Media Records, and helped define the late-90s trance wave with records like 'Lizard,' 'Komodo,' and 'Iguana.' His Meganite party linked him to Chris Liebing, Marco Carola, and Adam Beyer, which puts him right between trance and tougher techno worlds.

A story

He won Italy’s Walky Cup competition in 1989, broadcast on TV, after finishing as an Italian DMC finalist the year before. In their own words
